Began as the Commercial School in 1920, became the Commercial College in 1926 and took the SRCC name in 1951. Offers only two UG courses: B.Com (Hons) and BA (Hons) Economics. Boys' hostel on campus.

How to read rankings
- The course rank matters more than the overall rank. A college can be average overall and excellent for law.
- Each list measures different things. NIRF scores teaching, research, results after graduation, how inclusive a college is, and its reputation.
- Small gaps mean little. Ranks 12 and 18 are close; don't choose on a few places.
- Not ranked isn't bad. Colleges choose whether to take part, and new or small ones often don't.
