UP Board 2027 proposed exam centre list is out. Objections close on 28 October 2026

In short: The UP Board has published the proposed list of exam centres for the 2027 Class 10 (High School) and Class 12 (Intermediate) board exams. If the centre given to your school looks wrong or hard to reach, an objection can be sent online only until Wednesday, 28 October 2026. After that, the Board says no objection will be accepted.

What happened

On 26 October 2026, the Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad, Uttar Pradesh (UPMSP) issued a notice signed by its Secretary. It says:

  • The centres for the 2027 board exams were chosen online, using school details that were checked and updated by tehsil-level committees.
  • The proposed centre list, with the allotment of each school's students to a centre, has been uploaded on upmsp.edu.in.
  • The list now goes to the district centre-fixing committee in each district, headed by the District Magistrate, for checking and approval.
  • Anyone with a genuine objection or complaint can send it online on upmsp.edu.in by 28 October 2026, in the format attached to the notice, with a reasonable cause and supporting proof.
  • The District Inspector of Schools (DIOS) will examine the objections and send the district committee's approved list to the Board website by 6 November 2026.

This is a short window. If you are in Class 10 or 12 in a UP Board school, today and tomorrow are the days to look.

Who can object

The notice names four groups who may object: students, parents (guardians), principals and school managers. So a parent does not have to wait for the school. In practice, though, an objection backed by the school is likely to carry more weight, so speak to the principal first if you can.

Can a parent object to a UP Board exam centre? Yes. Students, parents, principals and school managers can, online, by 28 October 2026

For students

  1. Find your school in the list. Look up your school by name or school code and note the centre your school has been given.
  2. Picture exam morning. How far is the centre? Is there a direct route? How long will it take on an exam morning? A long or difficult journey is tiring before a paper.
  3. Tell your principal or class teacher if something looks wrong. They may already be filing an objection for the whole school.
  4. If you object yourself, keep it factual. The format asks for the district, the school name and code, your name and mobile number, what the objection is, the reason, and the proof. A clear reason with evidence is far more useful than a general complaint.
  5. Do not let this disturb your preparation. Checking the centre takes half an hour. Once it is done, go back to your revision plan.

Before 28 October: find your school's allotted centre, check the journey, talk to the principal, and object online with reason and proof if needed

For parents

Why this is worth ten minutes now. The exam centre decides where your child goes for every paper of the board exams. Once the lists are approved, changing a centre is much harder. This is the stage where the Board itself is asking for objections.

What counts as a good reason. The notice does not list reasons; it asks for a "reasonable cause" with proof. Families usually raise things they can show clearly, such as an unusually long or unsafe route, or a centre that has no practical transport from the area. Write it simply and attach what supports it.

What proof might help. Think of anything that shows the problem plainly: a map showing the distance, a note on the bus or road situation, or a letter from the school. Keep copies on your phone.

The paperwork. The objection is sent online on upmsp.edu.in in the Board's set format. After you send it, take a screenshot or save a copy. You will want it if you need to follow up with the school or the DIOS office.

What it does not cost. The notice mentions no fee for objecting. Be careful of anyone who offers to "get the centre changed" for money; the official route is the online objection.
